RIYADH July 10. 2024 (Saba) - The first flight of Syrian Airlines arrived at King Khalid Airport in Riyadh on Wednesday morning, marking the return of regular flights from Damascus International Airport to Saudi Arabia.
Media said that, on this occasion, the Riyadh Airports Company held a celebration at King Khalid Airport in the presence of the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ayman Soussan, to Saudi Arabia, and a number of Saudi officials in the field of air transport.
Soussan stressed that this event represents good news for Syrians and Saudis alike because it facilitates communication between the two countries and spares citizens the suffering of indirect travel.
Soussan pointed out that the return of regular flights between Syria and Saudi Arabia is an additional step in the process of steady development witnessed by relations between the two brotherly countries, according to the Syrian news agency, SANA.
