SANA'A July 08. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expects scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity in a number of provinces, and hot to very hot weather in the desert and coastal areas during the next 24 hours.
According to the weather forecast issued by the centre, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), thunderstorms of varying intensity are likely to fall at times in parts of Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhale', Dhamar, Raymah, northern Lahj, Al-Bayda, and the Abyan, Shabwa provinces, and Hadhramaut highlands.
Scattered rain may fall on parts of Sana'a, Amran, Al Mahwit, Hajjah, Sa'ada provinces and the Tihama Plain.
The center warned citizens against being present or blocking the paths of torrential rains, thunderstorms, and low horizontal visibility due to rainfall, water mulch, and raised dust and dirt.
It also warned seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains of sea turbulence and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, the eastern and southern coasts.
The center advised citizens in deserts, inland plateaus, plains and coasts not to be directly exposed to sunlight and to drink plenty of fluids.
