MOSCOW July 06. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Ministry of Defense has published a video of the destruction of an Ukrainian S-300 system with an "Iskander" missile in the Poltava province of western Ukraine, in continuation of hitting military airports that were equipped to receive "F-16" fighter jets.
According to "Russia Today" website on Saturday, the strike affected the "S-300" platforms, a command vehicle belonging to the system, vehicles, ammunition and manpower in the vicinity of the village of Kopetevo adjacent to the "Mirgorod" military airport in Poltava.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of two helicopters, three MiG-29 fighter jets, and two Ukrainian Su-27 aircraft at the aforementioned airport, its infrastructure and runways, after Kiev forces and their NATO allies equipped it to receive F-16 fighter jets.
President Vladimir Putin recently warned that the Russian military "will burn the F-16 in Ukraine and will consider striking it at its bases in the countries from which it may take off," and that it will meet the fate of German Leopard tanks, American Bridley armored vehicles and other Western weapons in Ukraine.
