Lebanese President Michel Aoun strongly condemned on Friday Israel's escalated attacks targeting the Nabatieh and Tuffah regions, including civilian areas, and its continued violations of Lebanese sovereignty and the November ceasefire agreement.
In a presidential statement posted on X, Aoun declared: "Israel persists in disregarding all regional and international decisions and appeals to halt violence and de-escalate in the area".
He emphasized: "This necessitates urgent international action to stop these aggressions that undermine stability efforts in Lebanon and regional countries".
The condemnation followed intensive Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon on Friday, with the Lebanese Health Ministry reporting one martyr and 21 wounded – marking another breach of the November truce.
