WASHINGTON July 05. 2024 (Saba) - According to a high-ranking US government official, Hamas' reaction to the ceasefire proposal is moving the process forward and could form the foundation for reaching a final agreement.

He stated, as reported by the Palestinian Ma’an Agency on Friday, that discussions between President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu centered on the specifics of negotiations concerning prisoner releases and a ceasefire in Gaza.

Additionally, he mentioned that both parties addressed unresolved matters, predominantly concerning the implementation of the agreement.

The US official indicated that negotiations between all parties regarding Gaza will be resumed starting today in Doha.
