TEHRAN July 03. 2024 (Saba) - Tasnim International News Agency reported on Wednesday that Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, emphasized the critical importance of broad and effective participation in the upcoming second round of presidential elections.
Speaking during a meeting with principals and teachers from the Martyr Motahhari School, Imam Khamenei underscored that the second round holds significant weight for the future direction of the nation.
Imam Khamenei stated, "Whoever loves Islam, the Islamic Republic, and the progress of the country must demonstrate this through participation in the elections." He refuted the notion that those who did not vote in the first round necessarily oppose the regime, stressing instead that higher voter turnout strengthens the Islamic Republic's ability to achieve its objectives.
Highlighting the people as the backbone of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khamenei described their participation in elections as a pillar of support and a source of pride for the regime. He emphasized that clearer and more robust participation would enhance the regime's capacity to pursue both internal goals and strategic national objectives.
Imam Khamenei concluded by invoking divine guidance for the people to make the best choice in electing a president who can effectively serve the regime and fulfill the aspirations of the Iranian people.
