GENEVA July 01. 2024 (Saba) - A UN rapporteur on Sunday expressed surprise that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has not issued an arrest warrant for the so-called Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, whom she described as "the mastermind of the genocide against the Palestinians."

According to Sama News Agency, this came as the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine, Francesca Albanese, commented on the approval by the cabinet of a plan for Smotrich that includes "the legalization of five outposts in the West Bank."

"Despite the great political pressure on the ICC, I don't really understand why the ICC prosecutor has not yet requested an arrest warrant for this man (Smotrich), who is the main mastermind of the Zionist genocidal policies against the Palestinians.
