OCCUPIED AL-QUDS June 28. 2024 (Saba) - American officials have expressed heightened concern over the possibility of the Israeli military launching a ground attack on Lebanon in the coming weeks.
The officials noted that the Pentagon has deployed additional military assets to the region in preparation for potential evacuations of Americans.
The American NBC channel quoted American officials as saying that Zionist officials are determined to attack Hezbollah in Lebanon despite pressure from the Biden administration.
The channel added, "Israel wants to establish a 16-kilometre-long buffer zone on the Lebanese border."
It said, "Israel wants to remove Hezbollah from the border diplomatically, and if that is not possible, the army is prepared to use force."
The channel confirmed that Washington is discussing with its allies coordination of evacuation operations from Lebanon and any military operations.
The channel said that the Pentagon is moving some military assets near Israel and Lebanon to be ready to evacuate the Americans.
It explained that an assault ship and marine soldiers moved to the Mediterranean Sea to join a landing ship there.
