OCCUPIED AL-QUDS June 26. 2024 (Saba) - The explosion that took place in the Israeli army's headquarters south Lebanon in 1982 was as part of an attack launched by Hezbollah, Yedioth Ahronoth said early on Wednesday.
The explosion of 11 November left 76 Israelis killed, the Israeli paper added, noting that most of the fatalities were Shabak and army soldiers.
A military special committee, tasked (after a series of reports published one year ago by Yedioth Ahronoth) with probing the incident, recommended that the "worst disaster in the Israeli army's history" should be reconsidered.
