BEIJING June 25. 2024 (Saba) - The Chinese foreign ministry on Monday warned against violating the red line relating the issue of Taiwan.
Any state, organization or individual should not think they can infringe the red line of Taiwan without facing the resultant ramifications, spokesperson for the ministry told reporters.
This warning comes under the decision, made by China on 21 June, to take actions against the US company (Lockheed Martin) and its managing directors over arms sales to Taiwan, Mao Ning added at a press conference.
Such sales pose serious violation of the 'One China' principle and the three declarations jointly issued by China and the U.S., interfere in China's internal affairs and harm its sovereignty and territorial integrity, she argued.
The Chinese government and people have strong determination to defend the national sovereignty and territorial integrity, Ning said, as any attempt to fringe this red line cannot pass without punishment.
