BEIJING June 25. 2024 (Saba) - At least five people were killed as a result of torrential rains in Hunan Province, central China.
On Tuesday, the New China News Agency, Xinhua, quoted local authorities in the province as saying: The mountain torrents that occurred in Yuanling County led to the death of four people, noting that the body of another person who was missing earlier was found today.
It added: Emergency procedures have been activated and efforts have been organized to ensure the availability of necessary supplies and restore energy, communications and transportation services.
Two days ago, eight people died as a result of a landslide that occurred in one of the provinces of Hunan Province, as a result of the heavy rains that fell on the province, while yesterday the Chinese authorities evacuated thousands of people and closed dozens of tourist attractions due to heavy rains and floods in the city of Huangshan in Anhui Province, eastern China.
