SANA'A June 23. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects hot weather in the deserts , coastal plains, and scattered rain of varying intensity in parts of several Provinces during the next 24 hours.
According to the weather forecast issued by the center, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), it is expected that scattered rains of varying intensity will fall, accompanied by thunder and occasional hailstones in parts of (Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhale’, Al-Bayda, Dhamar, Raymah, Sana’a, Al-Mahwit, Amran, Hajjah, Sa'ada provinces and the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramaut and Al Mahra) as well as parts of the Tihama Plain.
The center warned citizens against being in valleys and flood paths, as well as taking shelter from thunderstorms in areas expected to rain. It warned vehicle drivers on mountain roads of reduced horizontal visibility due to heavy low clouds and rainfall.
It warned citizens of extremely hot climates in deserts, inland plateaus, plains , coastal areas, and advised against direct exposure to the sun’s rays.
The center also warned fishermen and seagoers of sea turbulence , high waves around the Socotra Archipelago and the eastern and southern coasts.
