Hodeida Airport administration condemns ongoing US-British aggression airstrikes on airport

HODEIDA June 18. 2024 (Saba) - Hodeida administration International Airport considered the escalation of the American-British aggression and its airstrikes on the airport a blatant violation of Yemen’s sovereignty , international agreements and covenants.

It confirmed in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the American-British aggression targeted Hodeida Airport and its facilities with more than 30 raids, as part of its criminal aggression through which it seeks to discourage Yemen from supporting the Palestinians.

The statement held the aggression countries, America and Britain, fully responsible for targeting the airport and the resulting destruction and damage to its various facilities, which would hinder efforts to rehabilitate the airport and operate it.

It stressed that this targeting is an extension of the siege imposed on the Yemeni people and the destruction of their infrastructure, which began nine years ago, and a continuation of the bombing and destruction carried out by the American-Saudi aggression of Hodeida International Airport, its installations and facilities.

The Hodeida Airport administration indicated that this targeting contradicts all conventions and treaties that criminalize the targeting of civilian airports, calling on the international community , the United Nations to condemn and reject the ongoing aggression airstrikes on the airport.
