HODEIDA June 18. 2024 (Saba) - An expanded meeting in Hodeida Province, headed by the Director General of the Electricity Corporation, Dr. Meshal Al-Rifi, discussed today ,Tuesday, the solutions required for the problems related to the electrical system in Hodeida region for the 132 kV “Ras Katnib - Hodeida” transmission line.

The meeting reviewed the work being carried out to repair the wing of the second district in Tower No. 58, and the damage to the upper vase between towers 58, 59 and 60, as well as conducting examinations and tests for the main transformer No. (1) 132/33 kV with a capacity of 60 megavolt amps.

He also listened to an explanation about the examinations and tests of the main transformer No. (1) 132/33 kV in the Al-Hali District transformer station, where the examinations and tests are carried out by engineers specialized in prevention , protection devices and assigned by the corporation’s general administration.

A specialized team headed by Engineer Anis Dirham and a group of technicians were assigned to carry out the technical inspection and careful examination of the 132KV transmission line and determine the requirements for carrying out urgent maintenance for emergency problems, in addition to identifying the towers that need comprehensive maintenance , rehabilitation, starting today, and submitting the results within three days.

After that, the Director General of the Electricity Corporation reviewed the work being carried out on the 132 KV transmission line and Transformer No. (1) 132/33 KV. At the current transfer station, they urged everyone to quickly complete the work to raise the technical readiness of the transmission line and the transfer station.
