MOSCOW June 12. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced the launch of the second phase of non-strategic nuclear forces exercises.

"In accordance with the decision of the Russian President, the second phase of the non-strategic nuclear forces exercises began,” the ministry added in a statement, as issues of joint training for units of the armed forces of Russia and Belarus on the combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons will be discussed.

The ministry said these exercises "aim to maintain the readiness of personnel and equipment of units for combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons of Russia and Belarus in order to unconditionally guarantee the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Union State."
