BEIRUT June 11. 2024 (Saba) - The Islamic Jihad Movement on Tuesday welcomed the US-drafted UNSC resolution calling for ceasefire in Gaza Strip.

Although it came late, the UNSC resolution will be positively dealt with in order to stop crimes against our people, reach full ceasefire and see enemy withdrawal from Gaza Strip, the Movement said in a statement.

The UNSC resolution stipulates for 6-week ceasefire, Israeli withdrawal from populated areas in Gaza, and release of Palestinian prisoners and Israeli detainees.
