RAYMAH June 10. 2024 (Saba) - The General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families on Monday launched the Blessed Eid al-Adha projects for all martyrs' families and missing persons across the provinces, totaling five billion Y.R.
During the inauguration event, advisor to the President of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed Meftah highlighted that martyrs are the most truthful people with God, as they have borne responsibility and sacrificed their lives for Yemen's freedom and independence.
Meftah emphasized the importance of Eid al-Adha projects designated for the families and children of martyrs and missing persons who sacrificed their lives for the nation's land, honor, dignity, and sovereignty.
He affirmed the Revolution Leader's keenness and interest in the families of martyrs, missing persons, wounded, and prisoners.
He stressed the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families' need to focus on economic empowerment projects in all directions and seek resources to encourage the families of martyrs and missing persons to implement income-generating projects.
Meftah praised the efforts made by the Martyrs' Families Authority in implementing Eid projects for the children of martyrs and missing persons.
On his part, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Political Council, Dr. Yasser al-Hoori, emphasized the importance of the Authority's role in caring for martyrs and missing persons, which strengthens year after year.
He noted that without the blood of martyrs, the great victories and noble stances achieved by Yemen in supporting brothers in Gaza would not have been achieved.
Al-Hoori stressed the importance of the private sector and businessmen's role in supporting the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families to continue its activities as the least duty towards the families of martyrs.
During the inauguration attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Daifallah Rasam, and the Ministers of Guidance, Hajj, and Umrah Affairs, and Fisheries, as well as the Deputy Head of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families and Missing Persons, Saleh Hamza, the Deputy Director of the Martyrs' Families Authority, Hussein Abdulwahab, revealed that the projects launched by the Authority for this year's Eid Al-Adha exceed five billion and 500 million Y.R, aiming to provide care and support for the families of martyrs and missing persons in all provinces.
He explained that these projects include the quarterly sustenance project for the families of martyrs and missing persons in all provinces, costing two billion and 277 million Y.R, as well as the sustenance project for the children of martyrs for the month of Dhu al-Qi'dah for 57,800 individuals, costing one billion and 156 million riyals.
Additionally, there is a sustenance project for the wives of martyrs and missing persons for the month of Dhu al-Qi'dah, costing 310 million Y.R, in addition to the cash gift project for 59,000 sons and daughters of martyrs and missing persons, costing 590 million Y.R.
He further informed that Eid Al-Adha projects also include the disbursement of half a salary to all families of martyrs and missing persons in cooperation with the Ministries of Defense and Finance, costing one billion and 220 million Y.R, as well as the sacrifice project in cooperation with the Martyrs Foundation, distributing Eid sacrifices to 25,000 families of martyrs and missing persons with limited and extreme poverty incomes in various provinces.
