SANA'A June 07. 2024 (Saba) - The activities of the “Our Eid is Local” festival of the Cooperative Union for Textiles, Clothing and Productive Families will begin tomorrow, Saturday, in Al-Sabeen Park in the capital, Sana’a.
The president of the union, Muhammad Hamid, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the festival aims to strengthen the local industry sector for clothing and handicrafts, by providing an opportunity for producers and productive families to display and market their products in a seasonal market.
The president of the union stressed that the festival will contribute to educating the public about the importance of supporting the local product as an alternative to foreign products, which will reflect positively on the Yemeni economy. He called for investing in such exhibitions to enhance cooperative work, support the local product and enhance its role as a main source of income.
The eight-day festival's activities include displays of local clothes , fashions and encourage the public to buy local products at reasonable prices and high quality.
