SANA'A May 11. 2024 (Saba) - The "Yemen Ahead" organization, in partnership with the Customs Authority, organized today,Saturday, an introductory workshop on the production of organic fertilizer, in a way that reinforces trends aimed at reducing the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
At the opening, in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary of the Customs Authority for the Customs Control Sector, Muhammad Al-Madani, and the Director of Customs Tariffs, Faisal Al-Thawab, the Director of International Relations and Cooperation at the Authority, Issam Al-Kabsi, stressed the Authority’s keenness to encourage and support such community initiatives that limit the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
In the workshop, in which 70 cadres specialized in the field of organic fertilizer production participated, including 40 male and female students from the College of Agriculture.
The trainers, Sabbour Al-Shami and Mahdi Al-Matari, presented two worksheets on the basics of manufacturing natural organic fertilizer through the stages of collecting , preparing components and the tools required for its production.
