GAZA May 10. 2024 (Saba) - The Gaza Crossings Authority denied the US State Department's statement about "opening the crossings and bringing humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip."
The Palestinian Information Center quoted the Commission in a statement last night as saying: "The crossings of the Gaza Strip are still closed and under the control of the Zionist enemy, and no aid has been entered since the start of the ground invasion of Rafah governorate, the occupation of the Rafah border crossing and the closure of the Kerem Shalom crossing."
On Tuesday morning, the enemy army announced the start of a military operation in Rafah, which it claimed was "limited in scope," and warned 100,000 Palestinians to forcibly evacuate the east of the city and head to the Mawasi area in the southwest of the Strip.
At the same time, enemy warplanes began launching raids on the eastern areas of Rafah, amid indiscriminate artillery shelling, targeting a number of houses, resulting in martyrs and injuries, which medical teams could not reach due to the intensity of the occupation shelling.
Since the seventh of last October, the Zionist enemy army continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip, with American and European support, as its planes bomb the vicinity of hospitals, buildings, towers and homes of Palestinian civilians and destroy them over the heads of their residents, and prevent the entry of water, food, medicine and fuel.
The ongoing aggression on Gaza has led to the death of 34,904 martyrs, the injury of 78,514 others, and the displacement of about 1.7 million people from the Strip, according to United Nations data.
