SANA'A May 09. 2024 (Saba) - A training course on training techniques was concluded today ,Thursday, at the Institute of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, organized by the Institute over a period of three weeks.
The course aimed to provide 13 trainees from employees of the Civil Aviation , Meteorology Authority and its various sectors, with the knowledge, skills and behaviors (KSAs) necessary to implement the training in a standard manner within ICAO’s approach to competency-based training.
The course focused on training participants on three competencies (modules), most notably preparing for training, using checklists related to preparing and implementing training, how to use training aids, diversity in training methods, dealing with different types of trainees, and how to evaluate according to the Kirkpatrick evaluation model with its four levels.
At the conclusion of the course, the Dean of the Institute of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Dr. Naji Al-Sahmi, praised the trainees’ efforts and the performances levels they performed, wishing them success in their future tasks.
He pointed out that at the end of the course, the participants presented practical presentations as an application of what they had trained, which would enable them to participate in the future as peers in the courses that concern them in the future.
Dr. Al-Sahmi noted the interest of the leaders of the Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority in training and qualifying the Authority’s cadres and its various sectors, which would embody and develop technical and professional capabilities in the field of civil aviation.
