AMRAN May 06. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting at Amran University discussed today the level of completion of projects funded by the Central Emergency Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Finance and its contribution to supporting the pumping unit for the university’s water project that was recently operated.
The meeting, which included the President of the University, Dr. Khaled Al-Hawali, and the Director of the Central Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance, Shihab Al-Shami, touched on equipping the pharmacy and agriculture laboratories and two classrooms at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, and providing support with 500 bags of cement to build the wall of the College of Commerce and Economics in Khamer.
During the meeting, 120 laptop computers and their accessories were delivered and supplied to the university in the context of equipping a central computer laboratory at the university - the first phase, with a total of 29 million and 526 thousand riyals to implement the quarterly examinations and admission and differentiation tests at the university, in addition to using it for training in the field of computers for students of the university’s colleges.
In the meeting, the President of Amran University praised the role of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance in implementing and financing a number of projects, whether at the university or the governorate, which practically translates into the visit of the President of the Supreme Political Council to the governorate.
For his part, the director of the unit, Engineer Al-Shami, explained that the unit pays most attention to educational, health and service projects, including the completion of Amran University projects.
In the meeting, which was attended by the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the university, Dr. Muhammad Al-Eryani, the Director of the Governorate Health Office, Dr. Muhammad Mujahid, and the Director General of Initiatives, Hashem Al-Raidi, the President of Amran University presented the university shield to the Director of the Emergency Central Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance.
