CARACAS May 06. 2024 (Saba) - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that the deployment of US military and intelligence bases in Guyana is a prelude to the conflict, as was the case in Ukraine.

"Guyana has become the center of the greatest threat to peace in South America and Venezuela, where there are 12 CIA bases and 14 secret Southern Command bases," Maduro said, according to the Novosti news agency today.

"Just as they prepared Ukraine against Russia, they are preparing Guyana, so they are underestimating us, they don't know what we are capable of doing in the face of threats," he said.
