SA'ADA May 05. 2024 (Saba) The Deputy Prime Minister of the Caretaker Government and Minister of Finance Dr. Rashid Abboud Abu Lahoum, the Governor of Sa'ada Muhammad Jaber Awad, the Chairman of the Rural Water Projects Authority Adel Bader, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance Kamal Khaled inspected the level of achievement in community initiatives projects in a number of directorates of Saada Governorate.
There are eight projects in the agricultural field, namely dams and water barriers, and 49 projects in the field of roads, including 30 construction projects, 11 surveys, backfilling and leveling, and eight road paving projects.
These projects are implemented in partnership between the community and the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance in the districts of Razih, Ghamr, Shada and Munbih.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Caretaker Government and Minister of Finance confirmed the development of work matrices to complete the projects.
He pointed out that it was agreed to purchase equipment for a number of directorates as a contribution between the community, the intervention unit and the local authority.
He pointed to the formation of a joint team from the Central Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance and Governorate under the supervision of Deputy Minister of Local Administration Dr. Qassim Al-Hamran, to follow up on the implementation of initiatives and solve any problems that may arise during work.
Dr. Abu Lahoum praised the efforts of the community and its effective initiative and its contributions in supporting and activating community initiatives, which represent the cornerstone of the development process.
He stressed the keenness to support all initiatives and focus on the most deprived and needy areas, which have suffered greatly during the past decades.
