TEHRAN April 03. 2024 (Saba) - Head of the Iranian Customs Service Mohammad Rezvani-Far has said that Iranian oil exports amounted to $35.8 billion in the last 12 months until March 2024.

Iranian news agencies quoted Rezvani-Far as saying “Chinese purchases of Iranian oil allowed the country to maintain a surplus in the trade balance, despite the United States re-imposing sanctions on Tehran in 2018.”

He added "If it were not for oil exports, Iran would have recorded a trade deficit of $16.8 billion."

Rezvani-Far explained that the total trade volume recorded a growth of 2.6 percent on an annual basis to $153 billion, of which $86.8 billion were exports from Iran.
