Zionist-American aggression with humanitarian veneer... Green light for genocide in Gaza continues

CAPITALS March 17. 2024 (Saba) - Experts and analysts confirm that the United States continues its policy in the region of absolute support for the Zionist enemy, and gives it the green light to continue the genocidal war in Gaza, despite American talk about a “port” on the coast of Gaza for humanitarian purposes, and its pretending to reject a Zionist operation in Rafah without a clear plan for the security and safety of civilians in it.

They say that America seeks in all its steps in the region to strengthen its influence in the Middle East as the “policeman of the world” who sets the lines, imposes equations, and monopolizes the Palestinian issue, but this time with a “humanitarian veneer” to improve its image before American voters.

They stress that everything that is happening and what will happen in terms of massacres, and human genocide is a faithful implementation and actual translation of the saying of the Western world, led by America: “Israel has the right to defend itself.”

In this context, representatives in the European Parliament said on Friday that the famine in Gaza was caused by the actions of the Zionist enemy, which constitute “genocide.”

During a session of the General Assembly of the Council of Europe on the Zionist aggression against Gaza, parliamentarians called on the international community to take action against this situation.

Irish representative in the European Council, Grace O'Sullivan, stated during the session that the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip did not occur because of a natural disaster or crop failure, but rather it was the result of the actions of the Zionist enemy and the silent inaction of the world in the face of the cries of the people of Gaza.

She talked about receiving a letter from a Palestinian father in Gaza, confirming that people in the Strip are suffering from real famine, in the absence of food, water, and electricity, and that the smell of rotting corpses wafts in the streets.

For her part, Belgian Member of the European Parliament, Hilde Vautmans, denounced the Zionist attacks on humanitarian aid convoys and civilian infrastructure... stressing her rejection of the use of hunger as a weapon of war, and calling on the Zionist enemy to open all corridors so that convoys can reach Gaza.

Spanish MP Miguel Urbán Crespo also said: What is happening in Gaza is “genocide,” and that the so-called “Israel” is using hunger as a weapon of war.

He explained that the Zionist attack on people while they were waiting for humanitarian aid “was not a mistake,” but rather a deliberate strategy to prevent the distribution of aid and end the possibility of living in the Gaza Strip.

On Thursday, the European Parliament approved a resolution strongly condemning the Zionist enemy’s obstruction of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

The resolution condemned the Zionist enemy forces attacking humanitarian relief convoys in Gaza, and also called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire.

Earlier, European Union Crisis Management Commissioner Janez Lenarčić said: There are areas in Gaza Strip that are already experiencing famine.

Lenarčić added: Dropping aid by air or inaugurating a sea corridor will not substitute for opening land routes to deliver aid to Gaza. The European Commissioner also urged the Zionist enemy to open more routes for aid to reach Gaza.

The European Union's foreign policy official, Josep Borrell, previously stressed that the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip was "human-made", in light of the expanding famine with the continuation of the Zionist aggression and the siege imposed on the Strip.

On the other hand, Palestinian human rights organizations described the Zionist enemy forces’ repeated crimes of killing hungry people and bombing aid distribution centers in Gaza as disgraceful, stressing that it requires accountability.

The institutions said in a statement last night: The Zionist enemy’s escalation of its deliberate attacks against civilians waiting for aid and relief centers in Gaza Strip comes amid the absence of political will and international accountability.

The statement added: The Zionist enemy insists on using starvation as a weapon of war, and committing mass murders against the population, who are exhausted by hunger, in perpetuating the ongoing crime of genocide against Palestinian men and women for the 161st day in a row.

He pointed out that enemy forces opened fire on Friday at dozens of people who had gathered on Al-Rashid Street, west of Gaza, waiting for aid, killing three of them and wounding others.

This development came after a bloody night, in which the enemy forces, using their tanks, helicopters, and drones, opened heavy fire on thousands of civilians who had gathered near the Kuwait Roundabout on Salah al-Din Road in southern Gaza. The shooting resulted in 20 Palestinian martyrs and more than 155 injuries, an infinite toll according to the Ministry of Health.

The statement issued by the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, Al Mezan Center, and Al-Haq Foundation confirmed that every time the Zionist enemy allows civilian gatherings in the hundreds and thousands, it begins firing intense fire and smoke bombs at them without any justification or necessity, and despite its awareness that they have gathered to obtain aid, which arrives via trucks and stops. In that region due to Zionist restrictions and the lack of organized mechanisms to ensure that aid reaches the population in a way that preserves their dignity and lives.

On Thursday evening, enemy forces bombed an aid distribution center in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in eight martyrs and a number of wounded.

Last Wednesday morning, an enemy drone targeted the UNRWA humanitarian aid distribution headquarters in the administrative district of the city of Rafah while distributing flour to residents, leading to the death of six civilians and the injury of 22, including a number of UNRWA employees.

The statement stressed that the international community is required not only to make statements and condemn the killing and starvation of civilians, but to resort to immediate steps to force the forces of the Zionist enemy, the occupying power, to comply with the rules of international humanitarian law , stop its aggression, even to ensure accountability for war crimes , crimes against humanity and the crime of genocide committed in Gaza Strip.

This comes as the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the Zionist enemy committed 13 massacres against families in the Strip, leaving 149 martyrs and 300 injured during the past 24 hours, while a number of victims are still under rubble , on the roads, the enemy is preventing ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them.

The Ministry announced that the toll of the Zionist-American aggression had risen to 31,490 martyrs and 73,439 injuries since the seventh of last October.
