SANA'A February 24. 2024 (Saba) - The Undersecretary of the General Authority of Endowments for the Investment and Resources Development Sector, Dr. Muhammad Al-Saomli, met on Saturday with a number of representatives of local media.

The meeting discussed the role of the media in raising awareness of the cleanliness of mosques, and the success of the objectives of the "Purify My House " campaign, which is implemented by the Authority on an annual basis to prepare and clean mosques to receive the blessed month of Ramadan.

In the meeting, Dr. Al-Saomli reviewed the objectives of the campaign, which are to enhance the sense of the sanctity of mosques, and the need to pay attention to them and make them suitable for religious worship, and to involve the community in the responsibility of preserving them, in a way that contributes to reducing the high costs borne by the authority in caring for them.

He pointed out that there are about 80,000 mosques, distributed in various governorates of the Republic, that do not have any resources to repair them, and pay attention to them, which requires concerted efforts to find sources, which help the authority to provide all services and pay attention to them, by urging merchants and philanthropists in society to contribute to this aspect.

He pointed out that this campaign is a voluntary governmental and popular community campaign based on the principle of cooperation and participation in field visits to mosques to clean them, provide their services, repair them and prepare them for the month of Ramadan.

For their part, media representatives affirmed their readiness to support the Authority in the success of this campaign.
