SANA'A January 23. 2024(Saba)-In light of the escalation of violations by herds of Zionist settlers against Palestinians , holy sites in the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds since the start of “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle on October 7th, it seems that the situation there is “going towards explosion.”
Palestinian experts confirm that the situation in the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds is “on the verge of explosion,” as a result of the continued violations of the Zionist enemy and its herds of settlers there, and as a reflection of its ongoing frenzied war on Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October, which has caused tens of thousands of victims.
They stressed that “The armed military confrontation is the most prominent feature expected in the West Bank and Al-Quds during the next stage.”
The occupied West Bank is witnessing a high wave of tension and field confrontations between the Palestinians and the Zionist enemy army, including raids and arrests carried out by the Zionist forces against the Palestinians in conjunction with the continuation of the war on Gaza Strip.
In light of these developments on the ground and the attacks and organized attacks launched by herds of settlers in various governorates of the West Bank and Al-Quds, against the Palestinians and their property, it seems that there are scenarios being drawn up in secret, with the support of the enemy Nazi government, to carry out and intensify bloodier attacks in the coming days.
Palestinian media reports indicate that walking in the streets of Al-Quds has become extremely dangerous, with weapons spreading everywhere, to the point that they have become part of the city’s general appearance, after Ben Gvir decided to distribute weapons to Zionist settlers under the pretext of “contributing to personal security without any legal basis."
Reports indicated that herds of settlers in Al-Quds and the West Bank joined, carrying weapons, the police and Zionist forces widely deployed in these areas, which raised many fears among the Palestinians, who described Ben Gvir’s distribution of 25,000 weapons to the settlers as terrorism and extremism.
In this context, on Tuesday, herds of Zionist settlers carried out several attacks on a number of population centers, including burning a car showroom in the town of Beitin near Ramallah, seizing and bulldozing lands in Arab Al-Malihat area, west of Jericho, and attacking teachers’ vehicles in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
In addition to targeting of citizens and their cars on a number of main roads in the West Bank.
During the implementation of settler attacks and assaults, Palestinians experience breathtaking moments of fear and terror, especially since the majority of settlers carry machine guns with the support of the extremist minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who provides them with official cover for their crimes, so they open fire randomly, putting the lives of citizens in extreme danger.
Day after day, the violations of the Zionist settlers against the Palestinians escalate, especially after the 7th of October, when they seized more than 20 archaeological caves, and converted six of them for tourist purposes belonging to Al-Badan, Al-Sawarka, Tanuh, and Jibril families in the eastern desert of Bethlehem, and the Zionist enemy forces cut off the road between the eastern villages and the desert.
The director of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority in Bethlehem, Hassan Brijiyeh, told the Palestinian News Agency “Wafa” today: The settlers’ violations and attacks on citizens’ property and seizing their land by force are considered a war crime with government Zionist cover, leading to the displacement of a people, the removal of their presence, and colonization land and settlement of settlers.
He explained that the attention of the Zionist settlers is directed during this period to the desert region, to impose a reality on the ground in order to steal the largest possible amount of land. The caves they seized have been published in promotional videos as tourist areas for overnight stays.
Since the seventh of last October, with the escalation of the Zionist-American aggression against Gaza Strip, herds of settlers have carried out frenzied attacks in the West Bank, causing the death of more than 13 Palestinian citizens with bullets, and the injury of dozens with bullets, bruises and fractures, in addition to heavy property losses in attacks carried out and carried out without the slightest concern.
International demands calling for an end to such crimes because of their real threat to security, peace and stability in the region.
It seems that these Zionist crimes will continue in the coming days against the Palestinians as long as the perpetrators do not receive the punishments they deserve for their crimes, which continue to go unchecked.
The European Union, in a statement today, Tuesday, strongly condemned the violence of settlers in the West Bank and Al-Quds, calling for them to be held accountable, expressing its concern about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza Strip. It also called for the continued arrival of relief and an increase in the capabilities of border crossings.
The European Union said in its statement about its priorities for human rights in the year 2024 AD: The settlements are illegal, under international law, and “Israel” must stop settlement expansion.
The European statement stressed the need to strengthen the United Nations human rights system, and the need to commit to preventing and ending human rights violations in the world.
Palestinian expert Jihad Harb said, in statements previously reported by the Turkish Anatolia Agency: “The West Bank is rapidly heading toward a major explosion.” He attributed this to several factors, the most important of which are “settler attacks, the economic situation, and the Zionist insults to his dignity that the Palestinian is exposed to in addition to what is happening in Gaza Strip.”
Harb added: “The explosion in the West Bank could take many forms, including popular confrontation, or armed confrontation,” stressing that “armed confrontation is the predominant feature of any explosion, because of the high support it enjoys from the Palestinian public.”
The Palestinian expert pointed out that the explosion means a major involvement of the Palestinian public in the confrontation, including members of Fatah movement, which is the most widely organized in the West Bank.
In turn, Amjad Abu Al-Ezz, professor of political science at Arab American University in Jenin Province, confirmed to Anadolu Agency, “The West Bank is experiencing a state of turmoil, and things are tense even before October 7, as a result of the settlers’ orgy and the repeated Zionist violations.”
Abu Al-Ezz added: “The explosion is a matter of time and nothing more, and it may be a short time,” noting that there are “several factors driving the explosion, most notably the settlers’ practices and orgy, and their carrying of weapons.”
As for the director of the Yabous Center for Strategic Studies in Ramallah, Suleiman Bisharat, he says: The West Bank is witnessing “an increase in resistance activities, especially armed ones, which is what the enemy fears.” He added: “The enemy is trying as much as possible to postpone any explosion in the West Bank.”
He realizes that the next stage is coming, and there is no doubt that it will be different.”
Bsharat attributed the state of turmoil in the West Bank to "Zionist practices of incursions, destruction, killing, and arrests even before October 7, and their escalation in a more violent manner afterward."
According to the latest official statistics issued by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, the Zionist enemy authorities have arrested more than 6,170 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds since October 7, according to the official Wafa Agency.
The annual report of the Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, on Sunday, stated: During the past year 2023, Al-Aqsa Mosque was stormed by herds of settlers and the Zionist enemy army 258 times, while the call to prayer was prevented 704 times in the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank attacking 388 mosques in Gaza Strip during the same year.
While the head of the Palestinian Committee to Resist the Wall and Settlements, Moayed Shaaban, confirmed that 12,161 attacks were carried out by the Zionist enemy entity and its herds of settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including Al-Quds, during the past year.
It is worth noting that since the start of the Zionist-American aggression against Gaza Strip on the seventh of last October, the Zionist enemy army has intensified its military operations in the West Bank and increased the pace of incursions, raids and arrests, which left thousands of martyrs and wounded defenseless civilians, most of them children and women.
