ALGERIA October 30.2023 (Saba) - The Palestinians are not terrorist and have the right to defend their territory, the Algerian President said on Sunday, asthe Zionist aggression on Gaza enters its 23rd day leaving more than 8,000 martyrs.
The Islamic Resistance of Hamas should not be designated as terrorist, the Algerian news agency quoted President Abdelmadjid Tebboune as saying.
During liberation war, "Algerian resistance was also labeled as terrorist. Those who defend their right, territory and homeland are not terrorists," he added, labeling the Zionist enemy's practices as "war crimes and crimes against humanity".
Separately, President Tebboune said Palestine reconciliation course had paused, "although it was sought with good will."
There was a former agreement with the Palestinian Liberation Organization to meet after the Arab Summit and to elect new leadership, he added, "but this course was no completed, as other states' interest is to keep the state of Palestinian diaspora."
Algerian public masses positively responded to calls for Arab and Muslim mobilization in support of Palestinian resistance and in protest of aggression.
Algerian streets saw demonstrations at which participants confirmed their support for Palestine and readiness to sacrifice for its sake.
Once the Aqsa Storm was kicked off, the Algeria-based Hamas called on free people around the world to support the Palestinian resistance.
