RAMALLAH October 19.2023 (Saba) - The Prisoners' Affairs Authority in Ramallah announced on Thursday, that the number of Palestinian prisoners in the prisons of the Zionist enemy has risen to about ten thousand prisoners.
According to the Palestine Online website, the head of the commission, Qaddoura Fares, said in press statements: “Since the beginning of the aggression against Gaza on October 7, the Zionist enemy has launched an unprecedented campaign of arrests, which has so far affected about 1,000 Palestinians in the West Bank, including about 700 they were transferred to administrative detention.”
He pointed out that "the Zionist judiciary and courts are a tool in the hands of the enemy's security and intelligence services, as they issue wholesale decisions to administratively arrest new detainees, and based on that, we decided to boycott those formal courts."
Fares explained that the enemy took advantage of the world's preoccupation with the criminal aggression taking place in the Gaza Strip, to penetrate the Palestinian prisoners, as the emergency government enacted laws that granted the enemy prison administration absolute powers to withdraw any achievements with the prisoner movement.
