SANA'A October 17. 2023 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Tuesday visited the building of the College of Human Medicine at Ibb University in which he briefed on the level of achievement in the project to establish the college building.
The President heard from the President of Ibb University Nasr al-Hujaili to an explanation of the finishing work at the college, self-financing from Ibb University, with community contributions, support from businessmen and financiers, and the Central Emergency Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance.
He reviewed the level of equipment in the College of Medicine’s laboratories and the college’s requirements to meet the college’s necessary need to complete the infrastructure and provide it with the necessary equipment and devices to enable it to perform its role in serving the province and Yemen in general.
President al-Mashat and Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs - Minister of Finance Rasheed Abu Luhum in the caretaker government, directed the completion of laboratory requirements and the continued support of the college with the necessary materials in a way that contributes to complete rest of the work.
Abu Luhum Ibb also directed to complete the procedures for establishing the University Hospital of Ibb University in a way that contributes to achieving the requirements for university education and academic accreditation and providing a medical environment to serve citizens in the province, especially since construction work in the building has been completed.
The President emphasized that the Emergency Central Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance would complete the contribution to the finishing work on the second floor of the College of Law at Ibb University.
President al-Mashat considered the College of Human Medicine building project at the University of B, Medical, a lofty scientific and medical edifice that will contribute to serving the academic process at the University of Ibb, noting the level of success achieved by the University of Ibb despite the difficult conditions that the country is going through.
He also affirmed that Ibb University will receive support, care and assistance to advance the academic process and enable it to fulfill its role towards the future generation.
