HODEIDA October 05. 2023 (Saba)-A meeting held today,Thursday, at Al-Salif Port in Hodeida province, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Marine Engineer Yasser Muhammad Ahmed, discussed the port’s activity and highlighted its operational needs and requirements to keep pace with the activity of ships flowing to it.

The meeting, which included the port’s management and workers, reviewed perceptions and proposals regarding development projects and activating the port’s activity, including amending the list of discharge rates, allocating space to establish offices for shipping companies and services, establishing a ship control tower at the pier, leveling the internal courtyards of the port, completing the maintenance of towers, pomegranates, and water drainage covers installing fenders for the western pier and providing a scale for cargo handling equipment.

He urged the port administration and its workers to improve performance, enhance cooperation and coordination between the port administration and the relevant parties and those dealing with it, and address the issues facing the port in implementing, improving and facilitating its services.

After that, the Chairman of the Corporation reviewed the services of a number of facilities affiliated with Salif Port, the commercial and navigational activities at the port’s docks and yards, the movement of handling and unloading ships and the services provided to them.

The head of the Red Sea Ports Corporation noted the role of workers, engineers, technicians , administrators and the level of their efforts in maintaining equipment and machinery and their steadfastness during the period of aggression and siege.

He was accompanied by a number of general directors of departments in the institution.
