SANA'A October 01.2023 (Saba)-Muslims in all parts of the earth celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the greatest Messenger Muhammad bin Abdullah - may God bless him ,his family and grant them peace - and commemorate his fragrant life out of reverence and respect for him , thanks to God for sending to humanity guidance and mercy, to give them insight , direct them to worship God alone, and to spread the highest morals on earth.
In their celebration of the Prophet’s birthday, the Yemenis are distinguished from all other Muslim countries. They give the great occasion great importance due to their connection to the Greatest Messenger, and through it they present a message to the Islamic nation of its importance in uniting the nation and closing ranks in the face of enemies. They also inform the entire world of the Muhammadan message and the values of its owner, may the best prayers ,peace be upon him and his family.
The celebration of the Prophet’s birthday this year began on Wednesday, the 27th of September, corresponding to the 12th of the Hijri month of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1445 AH.
On that great day, “the Day of the Prophet’s Birthday,” the Yemenis commemorate the fragrant biography of the Great Prophet.
So that new generations can learn from him and know more about his person and the great message with which he was sent (as guidance and mercy to the worlds).
In different eras, there were features of celebrating the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday, although they differed in their details, but they agreed on the same goal, which is to commemorate the best day on which the sun rose.
On this occasion, mosques and streets are decorated with decorations ,lights, and lessons on the Prophet’s biography are abundant in mosques and schools. So that new generations can learn about their noble Prophet and the mercy he bestowed upon humanity.
On that great occasion, circles of remembrance and supplications describing the Holy Messenger are also held, and through them Muslims express their love and respect for him - may God bless him and his family and grant them peace - with poems of praise from the Prophet.
For Yemenis, the occasion of the “Honorable Prophet’s Birthday” acquires great importance as a celebration of the anniversary may the best prayers and peace be upon its owner. With the advent of the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal, cities, neighborhoods and streets take on a new look of green, and government buildings are decorated with green flags and light panels that reflect the preparation to commemorate the birth of the Master of Mankind and guides the Nations.
Green flags and light panels hang on the roofs of citizens’ homes and shops, emphasizing the greatness of the occasion for the people of Yemen and the extent of their connection to the Noble Messenger.
The various provinces are witnessing cultural events, activities, evenings and seminars, in the province center and directorates, in commemoration of this religious occasion.
Activities, evenings and seminars are held on a daily basis in various governorate regions to celebrate the arrival of the Prophet’s birthday, and events and activities are held at the level of province centers and directorates.
The celebration of the great religious occasion is accompanied by awareness programmes, meetings and various activities in various directorates, including songs and poems in love with the best of God’s creation, Muhammad is the Messenger of God, may God bless him, his family and grant them peace, dhikr circles in mosques, and the chanting of stanzas as a reminder of his fragrant life in public assemblies.
The Yemenis consider celebrating this occasion a great honor and a blessing from God, and their interaction with it confirms their awareness of the importance of this occasion and the extent of their connection to the Great Messenger to advance the nation and follow the path of the Chosen One, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family.
The noble Prophet’s birthday is considered a golden opportunity to introduce the entire world to the greatest Messenger, his qualities, his complete life, and his fragrant biography.
The Prophet’s birthday is also a wonderful and valuable opportunity that must be seized to learn about the biography of our Master Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, from his birth until his death.
