ROME September 27. 2023 (Saba) - National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology in Italy announced that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale struck last night the large volcanic area "Fliegre Fields" near the city of Naples.
Italian media quoted the institute as saying that the strongest earthquake was recorded at 03:35 this morning, Wednesday, local time, indicating that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of three kilometers.

institute explained that the earthquakes were felt by residents of the city of Naples and its surrounding villages.

Rai News 24 news channel said: At the moment the earthquake occurred, many residents of the area panicked, and people ran from their homes into the street.
