MOSCOW September 23. 2023 (Saba) - Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that no progress has been made regarding meeting Russian conditions for renewing the Black Sea grain agreement.
Russian spokesman added in a statement to reporters, reported by the Russian "TASS" news agency "No, there has been no progress so far."
The grain deal expired on July 17 after being in effect for one year.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had said earlier that the terms of the agreement regarding Russia had not been implemented despite the efforts of the United Nations, because Western countries would not fulfill their promises.
Putin pointed out that the West exported most of the Ukrainian grains to its countries, and the main goal of the deal, which was to supply grains to countries in need, was not achieved.
However, Moscow said it was ready to quickly return to the grain deal, but the Russia part must be implemented.
