GAZA September 17. 2023 (Saba) - Two Palestinian fishermen were injured this Sunday evening by gunfire from Zionist enemy gunboats off the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to the fishermen’s committees, the fisherman, Mazen Jamil Harb, and his son, Fares, were injured by gunfire from occupation warboats, while they were working on a fishing boat west of Rafah port.
According to Palestinian media, they were transferred by ambulance to the hospital to receive treatment.
The Zionist enemy's navy is targeting fishermen's boats on a daily basis in the sea off the shores of the Gaza Strip, which has led to the death and injury of dozens of them over the past years, and the destruction of their boats and equipment.
This comes as part of a policy aimed at further restricting the people of the Gaza Strip, tightening the grip of the siege imposed on them for more than 17 years, and fighting them even for their livelihood.
