DAMASCUS Aug. 13. 2023 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy carried out a new air aggression Sunday, targeting the vicinity of the Syrian capital, Damascus.
The Syrian "Al-Ikhbariya" channel reported that the air defenses shot down most of the aggression's missiles.
A Syrian security source said "The Zionist planes fired a number of missiles from over the occupied territories towards the vicinity of the capital, Damascus."
The source added "The interceptor missiles of the Syrian Air Defense Force were able to intercept most of the hostile missiles before they reached their target."
He explained that "the technical and engineering teams in the Syrian army began to go to one of the sites to find out the damage and then announce it officially."
In turn, the Syrian News Agency (SANA) said that sounds of explosions were heard in the vicinity of the capital, Damascus, where work is underway to verify their nature.
Social networking sites circulated videos showing a large explosion behind a block of flame.
