MOSCOW May 21. 2024 (Saba) -Russian President Vladimir Putin asserted on Tuesday that despite facing sanctions, Russia's fuel and energy sector remains robust and dependable, adequately catering to the nation's requirements.
Speaking at a meeting addressing the industry's progress, Putin affirmed, "Despite formidable sanctions and fluctuations in global and regional energy markets, our domestic fuel and energy sector continues its steady advancement."
He further emphasized that this sector satisfactorily fulfills the nation's growing energy demands.
Earlier, Putin had highlighted that the West's policy of containment and weakening towards Russia is a protracted strategy that won't yield results.
He underscored the severe impact of sanctions on the global economy, accusing the West of endangering millions of lives.
Putin reiterated Russia's stance of non-aggression towards Ukrainian territories, emphasizing the objective of safeguarding populations subjected to persecution and genocide by the Kiev regime over eight years.
