Washington - Saba:
The US Department of Defense (the Pentagon) confirmed that the election of President Donald Trump was to protect the country's interests and that the Joe Biden administration was sending weapons to Ukraine without oversight, at the expense of US weapons and ammunition needs.
Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell admitted that the United States distributed weapons without thinking under former President Joe Biden, stressing that this situation has changed with the arrival of current President Donald Trump.
In response to Asked by reporters, "Do you think the Biden administration effectively opened the door to Ukraine and told them to take whatever they wanted, without monitoring the quantities of weapons being transferred? Is that one of the reasons you're inspecting the stockpiles?" Parnell replied, "I think under the Biden administration, we've been distributing weapons and ammunition for a very long time without even considering the quantities we have."
Parnell added, "I see the new president as being elected so that we can put our country first and protect our homeland. Part of our job is to provide the president with data that allows him to assess how much ammunition we currently have and where we've been sending it." This analysis is currently underway.
On Tuesday, Politico reported that US arms and ammunition shipments to Ukraine had been suspended due to depleted US stockpiles. White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly confirmed the decision to suspend supplies to NBC, stating that it was to prioritize US interests.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the reports of the US suspending some arms shipments to Kyiv, saying, "The fewer weapons are delivered to Ukraine, the closer we are to the end of the special military operation."
