MOSCOW June 01. 2023 (Saba) - Russian defense announced on Thursday that its forces, in cooperation with border and security forces, had thwarted three Ukrainian attacks on the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine.
Russian agency TASS quoted the Ministry of Defence as saying that "its forces prevented Ukrainian units from crossing the border into Russia and repelled the attack."
Earlier, Governor Belgorod Vyacheslav Gladkov said that eight people were injured, and that several buildings were destroyed at night by the bombing of Ukrainian forces.
He added that fire broke out in an apartment building in the border town of Shebekino after it was bombed with Grad missile systems.
