HODEIDA May 11.2023 (Saba) – The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakel, inspected the workflow at Al-Zahra Rural Hospital in Al-Zahra District, Al-Hodeidaprovince.
Minister Al-Mutawakel was briefed on the level of medical and treatment services provided to patients in various departments, as well as the expansion and restoration work in a number of departments, where he listened to an explanation from those in charge of the hospital about the level of services and the difficulties facing the workflow.
Al-Mutawakel was also briefed on the medical camp for eye diseases organized by the Grameen Yemen National Foundation in the district.
Where he listened to an explanation from the ophthalmology consultant, Dr. Yahya Al-Ghassali, about the camp, the equipment and the level of turnout, indicating that the camp receives 200-250 cases, where examinations, cataract operations, and free medicines are distributed.
Minister Al-Mutawakkil appreciated the institution's efforts in organizing such camps that work to alleviate the suffering of patients, especially in light of the conditions the country is going through as a result of the aggression and siege.
He stressed the ministry's keenness to encourage such initiatives in implementing medical camps, whether in eye diseases or other diseases that target the poorest groups.
