SANA'A May 02. 2023 (Saba) -The capital, Sana'a, and the governorates are witnessing the inauguration of summer courses and schools for the year 1444 AH under the slogan "Education and Jihad".
The summer courses are schools for building, correcting and developing the abilities of youth, arming them with the Book of God Almighty and the Qur’anic culture, and enhancing loyalty and faith identity among them, including religious, intellectual, cultural, literary and sports activities and programs.
The summer courses and schools aim to exploit the holiday leave for the benefit of male and female students in the scientific, religious, cultural and literary fields, and to introduce them to the dangers of soft war and to protect and immunize them from false cultures.
Model summer schools, open and closed, whose number this year may reach about nine thousand and 100 schools, embrace 1.5 million students, to provide them with knowledge of the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, religious culture and faith identity, and protect them from the dangers of the soft war.
The revolutionary leadership, represented by the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council, is interested in summer courses and centers, and the creation of youth and sports incubators, cultural programs, and activities that contribute to the consolidation of identity and belonging among young people.
The inauguration of the summer courses comes to consolidate the relationship of male and female students with the Book of God and religious sciences, and to provide them with useful scientific and cultural knowledge, in a way that guarantees the creation of a generation that adheres to values, principles and faith identity, and immunizes them from misguided and deviant ideas, and consolidates the values of national loyalty in them.
The inauguration of the summer courses was preceded by a meeting of the Supreme Committee for summer activities and courses for the year 1444 AH, and the approval of the master plan and organizational guidelines for events and activities, as well as the approval of the media coverage plan to support and accompany the activities of thet summer courses for the current year.
During the inauguration of the summer courses for the year 1443 AH, the leader of the revolution, al-Sayeed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, affirmed that the Yemeni people's interest in summer courses, in light of the great targeting of them, presents a great message to their enemies, that they are steadfast, continuous, strong, and continue their faith path despite the enemies' noses.
Al-Sayed said, "The Yemeni people's interest in these courses sends a message to their enemies that they cannot be broken by economic pressures, military war, propaganda and media campaigns, or any form of targeting."
Al-Houthi expressed hope that everyone would be interested in the summer courses, pointing out that the official authorities are concerned with supervising these courses, because some may seek to penetrate by holding courses in a different way.
"In this event, we inaugurate the summer courses that come within the framework of the educational and cultural interests of our Yemeni people, despite what they suffer from aggression, siege and widespread targeting," he said.
"It is not hidden from all of us how many schools were destroyed and universities and mosques were targeted by the aggression coalition, and how the educational process was targeted in all its stages," he added.
Al-Sayeed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi pointed out that the war is diverse and comprehensive to target the educational process, which exposes the nature of the enemies' goals and their aggression against the Yemeni people.
The leader of the revolution explained that the summer courses received a greater share of targeting, primarily targeting the media and propaganda campaigns in repelling and distorting them, which indicates their great importance, positivity, and beneficial impact.
He added, "The enemies are disturbed by everything that contributes to building a generation armed with science and raising its level of knowledge, awareness and faith education, so they usually go to propaganda campaigns through their media and negative activities by distortion and discouragement."
Meanwhile, Minister of Youth and Sports - Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Summer Courses, Muhammad Al-Moayedi, considered these schools and courses safe national, religious, educational and knowledge incubators for generations to receive useful sciences and knowledge.
Minister Al-Moayedi emphasized the importance of schools and summer courses to provide male and female students with useful sciences, valuable knowledge, skills and good behaviour, and to practice cultural, sports and social activities and awareness and education programs rooted in the faith identity.
He said that the successes achieved by the summer activities and courses during the past year were the result of concerted official and popular efforts, expressing hope that the summer activities and courses for the current year will achieve the desired success and that enthusiasm and interaction will continue in this aspect.
In turn, the Undersecretary of Ministry of Youth for the Youth Sector - Head of the Technical Committee for Summer Activities and Courses, Abdullah Al-Razhi, expected that the number of students enrolled in the summer courses for the year 1444 AH would increase to one million and 500 thousand students, accommodated by nearly nine thousand and 100 open, typical and closed schools, in which 20 thousand workers and principals work. And a teacher in the provinces and districts.
The Undersecretary Sector stated that the summer courses during the year 1443 AH achieved successes that exceeded expectations, as the number of students enrolled in them reached 733 thousand and 722 male and female students who enrolled in nine thousand and 16 schools, in which 42 thousand and 772 workers worked.
The role of the media lies in highlighting the activities and programs of summer schools and courses, keeping up with and covering events through various audio, visual and print media, supporting them, and promoting community education on the importance of enrolling children and youth in summer schools.
The media plan accompanying the summer sessions aims to highlight the activities and events accompanying them, cover them and keep up with them in the media, because of their importance in providing the enrollees with correct concepts and ideas, educating the generation in faith, instilling Quranic behaviors, consolidating identity and national belonging among them, and immunizing the generation from misguided ideas and the dangers of soft war.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, Ahmed Yahya Rasea, confirmed that the role of the media lies in conveying the activities of the summer courses and their various programs through various media.
He considered the media the mirror that reflects the plans and programs implemented in the summer courses and the circle of beneficiaries in them, highlighting talents in the literary and cultural fields, competitions, cultural and religious circles, awareness-raising activities, field visits and entertainment.
