HODEIDA March 20.2023 (Saba) - The Minister of Defense, Major General Muhammad Nasser Al-Atifi, on Monday affirmed that the armed forces have become today a feared force that possesses all the factors of strength, stability and qualitative combat capability, whether in the offensive or defensive battle or at the various tactical, operational and strategic levels and in its various types of land, sea and air.
During his visit to the Special Forces training camp in the fifth military region, the Minister of Defense indicated that Yemen, thanks to God and the wisdom of the revolutionary leadership, has taken its confident and basic steps in equal international and regional relations, in which there is no diminution of national sovereignty.
He said, "We have restored the right path that preserves our dignity and independence and liberates our national will from any dependence that existed as a result of policies and practices in previous periods, and everyone, partners, teams, opponents, friends and enemies, must know very well that our national decision has one source in the hands of a rational, strong and courageous leadership represented by a revolution leader, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, a man of positions, peace and challenges".
He added, "We are ready to take any combat stance with solidity, strength, and high combat efficiency, and the aggression must only understand the nature of the stage and its entitlements, and be aware that we, in God, are greater than its military arsenal and stronger than its adventures, whatever they may be."
The Minister of Defense stated that the Red Sea was and still is a focus for foreign ambitions, foremost of which is Zionism, which is trying to find a foothold in it. He said, "We assure the Zionist enemy that their futility will not last long, and that our free will cannot accept the interventions of the Zionists, and we will communicate this concept to them in the appropriate manner and in a timely manner."
Major General Al-Atifi pointed out that the Yemeni sovereignty over the regional waters, ports, islands and shipping lanes is one of the constants that make all sacrifices easy for it and take all appropriate military measures to defend it.
He expressed his pride in the high and advanced level in the field of preparation, organization, construction and military qualification that the personnel of the units of the Fifth Military Region have reached. He praised the efforts of the region's leadership and its units for excellence in military performance and the high ability to acquire combat and tactical skills.
