SANA'A November 22.2022 (Saba) - The media secretary of the Supreme Economic Committee, Ibrahim al-Seraji, confirmed that the mercenaries of the US-Saudi aggression had been brought to international companies in an attempt to plunder a quantity of oil through the port of Dabba in Hadramawt province.
"In a new attempt to plunder the sovereign wealth of crude oil, The mercenaries of the US-Saudi aggression attempted to loot a quantity of oil through the port of Dabba, using international smuggling companies, in violation contrary to the decision of His Excellency Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, of Rabi Al-Awwal 1444 AH corresponding to 1 October 2022, which prohibits the looting of Yemen's sovereign wealth ". Al-Seraji said in a special statement to Saba.
"The attempt by the mercenaries of the American-Saudi aggression to loot crude oil was represented by their bringing of the oil tanker (PRATIKA) and the number of two tugboats.. in addition to six unidentified pieces of war ". He pointed out that this time international smuggling companies were hired, owns an oil tanker and tugboats, for exorbitant amounts of which mercenaries received a proportion as commissions and bribes.
In accordance with the directives of President of the Supreme Political Council, Al-Seraji pointed out that the High Economic Committee has followed up on all legal actions through the competent authorities;
Before the tanker entered Yemen's territorial waters, which in turn addressed the oil companies involved in the oil tanker and tugboat, not to approach territorial waters and to breach the decision to prevent the looting of sovereign wealth ".
He indicated that the countries whose flags the vessels carry and the countries they belong to have addressed the crews of the vessels participating in the attempt to plunder the sovereign wealth to stop their participation in the attempt to plunder the Yemeni sovereign wealth.
"Subsequently, the crew of one of the tugboats responded to the legal proceedings and the letters and left Yemeni territorial waters, while the oil tanker and the rest of the blocks ignored these speeches, Yemen's territorial waters were violated on Monday morning 27 Rabi Al-Akher 1444H, 21 November 2022 ".
According to the Information Secretary of the High Economic Committee, information had indicated that the mercenaries of the aggression intended to loot quantitatively 2.1 million barrels of crude oil, with an estimated value of $174 million.
According to the Supreme Economic Commission, after having exhausted all legal procedures that had been ignored, violated Yemen's territorial waters and attempt looting of sovereign wealth, the leadership of the armed forces responsible for the protection and preservation of national wealth was raised in accordance with the constitution, following this, the armed forces did their duty, forcing the tanker PRATIKAPRATIKA to leave at 5 p.m. on Monday evening.
The Supreme Economic Committee held mercenaries and their associates fully responsible for the conversion of oil installations into military barracks. The mercenaries should have made efforts to end the suffering of Yemeni people in all provinces. By adhering to the Constitution and the applicable laws obliging them to allocate the dividends of sovereign wealth in their favour, rather than to plunder and deprivation of State officials and other citizens.
The Supreme Economic Committee renewed its call for all domestic and foreign companies to comply fully with the resolution preventing the looting of sovereign wealth that has been taken to safeguard the rights and interests of the Yemeni people, otherwise it will be responsible for the various ramifications and legal consequences.
