SANA'A October 2.2022 (Saba) - Minister of Defense, Major General Muhammad Nasser al-Atifi, on Sunday affirmed that the lands, waters, seas and wealth of the Republic of Yemen are the basis of Yemeni sovereignty, and the armed forces are committed to protecting them.
"We will not allow anyone to prejudice Yemeni sovereignty or even discuss it remotely," Major General Al-Atifi said at the ceremony organized by the Ministry of Defense and General Staff to commemorate the anniversary of the Prophet's birthday.
He added :"Everyone must understand that sovereignty should not be neglected as long as our arteries continue to flow with blood and our hearts pulse with loyalty and belonging to Yemen."
The Defense Minister indicated to the significance of celebrating the anniversary of the Prophet's birthday in a manner befitting the greatness and stature of the Greatest Messenger (Mohammed peace be upon him).
He stressed that the Muslim nation should imitate the biography of the Greatest Messenger, his actions and sayings in its daily life and all its practical practices by adhering to the Noble Qur’an and consolidating the great concepts with all its meanings and connotations.
Major General al-Atifi referred to the armed forces' great achievements and gains in terms of construction, modernization and development, whose greatness was demonstrated in front of Yemeni people and the free people of the nation and the world through the military and security parades witnessed recently by the capital, Sana’a, and the various free provinces.
He pointed out that these military parades had conveyed powerful and influential messages, and everyone should realize that they are in front of a free national will of faith led by a national leader distinguished by awareness, wisdom and foresight, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, who faced the most powerful arrogant and Zionist forces and thwarted all their hostile and conspiratorial agendas.
The Minister of Defense saluted the armed forces and their honorable heroes and brave men who are stationed in every position and front for the sake of the pride of this nation and its support in the face of its enemies.
