SANA'A, Sep. 03 (Saba) - the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and its affiliated units organized a press conference entitled "Aggression and Years of Organized Looting Oil - Gas - Minerals" on Sunday in Sana'a.

At the conference, Minister of Oil and Minerals Ahmed Abdullah Daris confirmed that the volume of looted crude oil during the period from 2018 to the end of July 2022 amounted to about 130 million and 41 thousand and 500 barrels, while the value of its revenues amounted to nine billion and 490 million and 639 thousand dollars.

The amount went to many banks of the aggression coalition, indicating that the amounts are sufficient to disburse the salaries of state employees in various Yemeni provinces for a period of five years.

Daris pointed out that these practices come at a time when the Yemeni people suffer from the interruption of salaries and the lack of many necessary services related to the citizen's livelihood due to the suffocating crises as a result of the siege and the high prices that have doubled because of it and the global crises.

He said, "We will not stand idly by about that and that they must abide by the agreement, as well as the obligation to adjust prices and supply to the central bank account in Sana'a or a joint account according to what is agreed upon, or to preserve the crude oil that will be produced accompanied with liquefied gas and not to tamper with the oil wealth to be exported through a pipeline." Oil through Ras Issa, according to the agreement.

The Minister of Oil renewed the warning to Safer Company and all subcontracting companies from providing any facilities or services in order to contribute to the continued looting of the country's capabilities and wealth.

He pointing out that the Ministry is monitoring all commercial moves by the government of aggression and its mercenaries around the clock and will take appropriate measures by all available means and possibilities to preserve the rights of the Yemeni people.

Daris also warned all oil companies operating in Yemen and demanded them to abide by production-sharing agreements, as well as all circulars and directives issued to it by the Ministry of Oil, Sana’a, from 2018 to 2022.

The Minister of Oil called on the United Nations to quickly fulfill its obligations regarding the ship Safer by quickly providing the appropriate alternative to the floating tank to meet any catastrophic repercussions and environmental pollution that extends from Bab al-Mandab to the Suez Canal.

Daris also called on the United Nations to carry out its duties and work to release the nine oil derivatives ships detained by the coalition of aggression during the temporary truce period.
