HAJJAH, May. 11 (Saba) - The Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Commission and the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, in cooperation with the Agricultural Cooperative Union and the Bonyan Development Foundation, launched on Tuesday the third phase of the agricultural revolution in Hajjah province.
In the inauguration, the Governor of Hajjah Hilal al-Sufi stressed the need to take practical steps toward self-sufficiency and enhancing food security as a priority to strengthen national sovereignty and decision-making independence.
The independence of economic decision-making depended on a renaissance in the agricultural sector and food security, and he stressed the local authority's support for agricultural cooperative action activities in accordance with available possibilities.
The Sufi Governor highlighted the importance of enhancing community awareness and young people's capacities in bringing about an agrarian renaissance.
