SANA'A, Jul. 16 (Saba) - The official spokesman of the armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie revealed details of the "Al-Nasr Al-Mubin" operation carried out by the army and popular committees in al-Zaher and Sawma'a districts in Bayda province against takfirist elements al-Qaeda and ISIS.
Brigadier General Yahya Sarie confirmed at a press conference on Thursday that various units of the armed forces carried out the operation, supported by the sons of Bayda and its tribes, causing the restoration of the areas and the liberation of others in the al-Sawma'a and al-Zaher departments with a total area of 100 square kilometers, resulting in 350 dead and 560 injured takfirist elements and mercenaries and the rest of them escaped.
He pointed out that the armed forces managed to destroy and damage 29 armored vehicles and vehicles during the operation. "This battle has once again proved to the Yemeni people the reality of takfirist elements of ISIS and al-Qaeda and their association with the American project within the aggression coalition," he said.
He clarified that the drone air force carried out 66 operations during the operation of "Al-Nasr Al-Mubin", 40 of which targeted enemy forces and 17 reconnaissance and monitoring operations, while the missile force carried out nine operations of Badr and Sa'eir. He pointed to the success of the armed forces in targeting the positions of takfirist gatherings and documenting them by voice and image.
The spokesman of the armed forces explained that the military, media, and financial support of takfirist groups during the recent operation reveals that these groups are nothing but tools in the hands of the foreigner against Yemen. He said the weapons found in various armies, committees,s and security operations against takfirists confirm the extent of support from the coalition of aggression for ISIS and al-Qaeda.
He pointed out that the activation of takfirist groups comes within the American plans to target Yemen and hand it over to mercenaries and takfirists. Takfirist groups have actively tried to reach some areas of Bayda province, he said.
He also discussed the coalition's support for takfirists by providing them with weapons and logistical support and facilitating the entry of dozens of foreign takfirists into the targeted areas, while the US-Saudi aggression warplane supported takfirist groups during the battle with more than 161 raids.
Takfirist instruments had been committed crimes against citizens in some areas of Bayda, including executions, which had forced the security services and armed forces to act.
The spokesman for the armed forces confirmed that the competent authorities have information on the movements of takfirist elements in the occupied areas, including movements and activities in Marib city and other areas.
He praised the cooperation of the people of Bayda province and its free tribes, their standing with the Yemeni people, and their constant victory.
He pointed to the refusal of the sons of Bayda to hand over some of their areas to ISIS and al-Qaeda elements and target citizens and implementing the foreign agenda. He praised the honorable national position of the various Yemeni tribes to confront the plans of an aggression coalition.
Sarie concluded the press conference by emphasizing that in seven years the forces of aggression have used military, security, and economic options and found only steadfastness and defiance from the Yemeni people. He explained that with the Yemeni people, the fate of the aggression will only be failure and defeat.
