SANA'A, Jan. 03 (Saba) - Prime Minister Abdulaziz bin Habtoor met on Saturday with Acting Resident Representative of the World Food Programme Ali Reda on the occasion of ending his tenure.

In the meeting, the premier said that the Yemeni people will not forget the humanitarian support provided by international organizations that seek to alleviate the great tragedy caused by the aggression.

Bin Habtoor conveyed his greetings to the WFP Director-General in Rome, David Beasley, for his efforts to contribute to reducing the impact of the aggression and blockade on the Yemeni people.

The Prime Minister stated that the efforts of the humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen are appreciated by the Supreme Political Council and the National Salvation Government, and their keenness to overcome the bureaucratic difficulties that hinder their activities.

For his part, Mr. Reda pointed out that what the WFP and other international organizations are providing is insignificant compared to the great need of the Yemeni people due to the current ordeal that it is going through.

He affirmed WFP's keenness to mobilize funds to implement more humanitarian projects to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, expressing his hope that his upcoming visit to Yemen will be in an atmosphere of peace.
