Two Yemenis killed in plane crash in Sudan


KHARTOUM, May 11 (Saba) - Two Yemenis were killed when their plane crashed in Sudan on the way to be annexed to a Yemeni aviation company, Sudan Civil Aviation Authority has announced.

The plane crashed due to a technical failure after supply it with fuel from a Sudanese airport, spokesman of the authority Abdul Hafedh Abdul Rahim said in a press release.

He added the captain of the plane, carrying two people, alerted the airport tower on the technical failure.

The training plane was enrolled to training planes in the Aviation Academy in Mukalla city of Yemeni province of Hadramout.

An official in the academy said on Monday that the plane was in an international trip and took off from the Egyptian airport of Luxor to the Sudanese airport on the way into al-Rayan airport in Mukalla.

The Yemeni official added the plane crew included Captain Abdullah Ali al-Na'ami and his assistant Abdul-Hafedh Saleh al-Sabahi, pointing out that a technical delegation has headed for Sudan to investigate the accident.
